Te Pokapuu Ahurea hou o Raahui Pookeka

Welcome to Huntly’s new cultural hub, a place where history, stories, and community come together.  The museum celebrates the heritage of Raahui Pookeka, showcasing treasured collections and exhibitions that connect our past to our present and inspire the future.

From interactive displays to hands-on activities to carefully preserved artefacts and exhibitions that reveal the rich heritage, we offer something for everyone, whether you are a lifelong local, a family looking for a fun day out or a visitor keen to experience our treasures.

This is your space to learn, share, and be part of our living history. Come along, take your time and discover a museum that belongs to you, a place where the past connects with the present and inspires the future.

We’re open Wednesday – Saturday 10am-4pm over the Summer break.

Cost: $5 adult, $2.50 child.
First Friday of each month is free.

We’ll be closed from Dec 20th – Jan 14th.
