The original Huntly Railway Station is being given a new lease on life by the Huntly Museum Te Whare Taonga o Raahui Pookeka and Waikato District Council. Now that the building is relocated and restoration is nearing completion, Huntly Museum is getting ready to make the move.
Our pop-up display space will be closed as we prepare to open a local hub for our community’s cultural heritage and historical stories in 2025.
From dedicated exhibition areas to providing educational material, our new museum will be a true showcase of our town and community. For this reason, we have closed our pop-up to dedicate our time towards the new museum.
In the meantime, click the link below to learn more about the new museum, connect to your community heritage online through our Digital Collection, contact us via our email – museum@huntly.co.nz, or follow along with the move on our Facebook.
